About Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires or just BA is the capital city of Argentina. It is located in South America facing the famous Rio de La Plata. Citizens of BA are known as “porteños”, meaning people of the port. Spanish, commonly referred to as castellano, is its official language and is spoken throughout the country.
As any cosmopolitan city, visitors can arrive by most kind of transport. There is an international airport, named Ministro Pistarini or better known as Ezeiza (EZE) at 35 km away from town, a domestic one, Jorge Newbery or Aeroparque at a few minutes away from downtown. Bus and train stations are situated in different neighbourhoods of the city.

Either visitor may stay a couple of days or a longer period of time, Buenos Aires, with its continental, style offers plenty of activities to do or sites to visit. Architecturally speaking, the city is a fascinating microcosm of styles from colonial to belle époque to modernist, with leafy parks, the zoo and surroundings where visitors may wander.
